Who we are
Launching Ideas, Inc., established in 2007 and based in Livermore, California, has a reputation for providing high quality design and support for inventors, regardless of the product's current stage of development.
America has always had an inventive spirit; one of its strengths has come from the protection it has provided those that invent. Unfortunately, many who have marketable ideas find themselves lost, frustrated, and discouraged at some stage of their idea's life cycle. Whether it's in the beginning phase of design, patenting, manufacturing, market testing, or production of the final product, Launching Ideas is here to help.
We bring the three disciplines a physical product needs — mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and brand marketing — under one roof. That means your enclosure, your electronics, and your brand develop together instead of being handed between separate firms, and it's why we can offer everything from a single drawing to a complete turn-key development that takes a concept through our seven-stage process to a packaged, market-ready product.

The three hurdles we help you clear
Design
Most successful inventions were first scratched out on paper — or a napkin. Putting those ideas into computer-aided design (CAD) software allows the early product to be analyzed and modified without paying the material and labor costs of each build-it, test-it, redesign-it iteration. CAD negates much of the cost associated with early prototyping. Eventually the CAD runs its course and the next step is to build the product — a giant leap forward.
Patents
This stage is the most difficult process. Many inventors patent too early and spend their development capital on protection, only to find that as the idea developed, the product moved outside the scope of their patent. Knowing when patent protection should be considered — and avoiding those who prey on inventors' fears — protects both your invention and your capital.
Production
Your invention is ready for market — now what? Do you know where to get ten thousand widgets connected to twenty thousand doo-dads, and who can assemble and ship them? Knowing where to go and whom to avoid is key to getting this final step across the line.
